Resources

Letter Poems

These are used in the classroom as your child learns to write each of the letters (both upper- and lower-case). Now you can help your child at home with the same rhymes they learn at school.

Rainy-Day Activities

Try this list of fun activities for your kids that also help work on critical thinking and motor skills. Sshhh…we won’t tell them it’s educational if you don’t.

Playdough Recipe

What could be more fun than homemade playdough?! Here is a tried-and-true recipe we’ve used in our classroom for your enjoyment at home.

Kid Friendly Websites

Today’s kids spend time on technology; there’s no way to avoid it completely. But their screen time can be fun and still be educational, especially if you play together!

Snack Guidelines

On your scheduled snack day, please bring enough snacks for the students, teachers, and parent helpers (approx 20 for TTh and 24 for MWF) and any needed utensils, plates or napkins.  Snacks must be prepackaged/store-bought and sent to school in the original packaging; no food preparation (portioning into individual bags, cutting of fruit, etc) can be done at home. Homemade treats are acceptable on birthdays and special occasions only.  We also ask you provide drinks on your snack day.  This can be either a large jug of water/juice or individual drinks.

Due to the increasing numbers of children with food allergies in our membership, we would ask for your attention and care when selecting snacks to bring on your snack day.  PLEASE read the labels of the products you would like to bring.

No Pure Milk

Milk as an additive is acceptable, but please avoid yogurt, cheese, or milk boxes.

No Nuts

We ask that you completely avoid any snacks that contain any kind of nuts, especially peanuts, as they can cause the most severe and life-threatening reactions (including foods that contain traces of nuts or foods manufactured in a facility that also handles nuts).

No Dairy/Egg

Please avoid snacks that contain dairy and egg. If these are an additive ingredients, please check with the teachers first.
